Wait

Wait

18 June, 2023

Wait upon the Lord,
Wait, for he is God,
Wait, for I am not.

I wait for the Lord,
My soul waits,
In his word I hope.

My soul waits in silence,
Waits for God alone,
From him comes my salvation.

I wait patiently for the Lord,
He puts a new song in my mouth,
The joy of the Lord is my strength.

The Lord is good to those who wait for him,
His steadfast love never ceases,
It is good to wait quietly for his salvation.

Be still and know that he is God,
He is my refuge and strength,
In him I live in hope.

God works for those who wait for him,
Trust in him and he will act,
Don’t lean on my own understanding.

Wait on the Lord, be strong,
The Lord is my stronghold,
Whom shall I fear?

Fear not, stand firm, and see,
The Lord will fight for you today,
And you have only to be silent.

All who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength,
I will rise with wings like eagles,
I will run and not be weary.

Rejoice in hope, be constant in prayer,
In this hope I was saved,
I wait for it with patience.

Be still before the Lord,
Wait patiently for him,
The meek shall inherit the earth.

The Lord waits to be gracious,
He abounds in steadfast love,
Blessed are all who wait for him.

Wait upon the Lord,
Wait, for he is God,
Wait, for I am not,
Wait.
