In this sermon, I look at Paul’s letter to the Ephesians, chapter 2, verses 11-22, asking the fundamental questions about identity, purpose and destiny: Who am I? Why am I here? Where am I going?

Are we ready to listen to God, to be obedient to God’s direction, to trust God? Gideon had a promise from God that he would save Israel from the Midianites, and he’d assembled an army, but God showed Gideon through a series of steps how he needed to listen, to obey and to trust God. And then God won the victory for them. And God can do so for us too, if we’re ready to listen, obey and trust him.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. And God’s creation is ordered, abundant and good. because God himself is ordered, abundant and good. And he wants us to live in the blessing of a personal relationship with God, our Father, the creator of the whole universe.

Isaiah wrote about the Obedient Servant, a prophesy about Jesus. The challenge for us is, will we follow Jesus and seek to live in obedience? Will we choose to be taught by God? Will we choose to rely on God? Or do we think we know better?

A talk about giving to World Mission, drawing from 2 Corinthians 8-9 and addressing two main points:
Why do we give to mission partners in other parts of the world? What’s the biblical basis for giving?
Who is Harbour Church supporting? And how can each one of us be involved?

Psalm 130 is a psalm of pain and distress, but also a psalm of hope in God. In this sermon I cover it in four sections: Weeping, Worshipping, Waiting and Witnessing.

In this sermon I focussed especially on Matthew 5:10-12, ‘Blessed are those who are persecuted,’ asking: are we willing to be persecuted for being Christians, even here in the UK?
